My name is Hannah. Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me.
As a quiet, true crime-obsessed teenager, I don’t have many friends. With the exception of my tirelessly working mother, my father who lives far away, and my therapist, Dr. Psych, I’m alone. Until the day I met Rebecca.
Rebecca is everything a girl wants to be. Beautiful. Popular. Star of the cheerleading squad. When she takes an interest in me, I jump on the chance to be her friend. It doesn’t matter that her boyfriend hates me, or that she is only friendly with me in secret. I’m lucky to have her, and we both know it. That is, until I have to learn the hard way. When things feel too good to be true, they often are.
When Rebecca goes missing, it’s up to me to uncover why. Remember when I said my mind plays tricks on me? It also loses memories…and a lot of them. Where did Rebecca go? Why can’t I remember anything from the days before she disappeared? And can I figure it all out before it’s too late?

FEATURED IN MOSAIC: AN ANTHOLOGY
Reminder that this wonderful anthology called Mosaic is available for preorder! Coming September 8! All proceeds from your orders will be donated to Room to Read. As per their website:
"Room to Read is creating a world free from illiteracy and gender inequality. We are achieving this goal by helping children in historically low-income communities develop literacy skills and a habit of reading, and by supporting girls as they build skills to succeed in school and negotiate key life decisions. We collaborate with governments and other partner organizations to deliver positive outcomes for children at scale."
“A child tries to survive her war-stricken city. A woman inherits the Earth. A chancellor sets out on a journey to save his nation from divide. A father seeks justice.
From the inside of an ambulance to the quiet corners of the soul, this collection of poems and short stories explores the complexities of humankind, featuring themes of love, loss, hope, and resilience. Fourteen authors across the world offer a poignant and diverse portrayal of what it means to be human. And although different, each story is a tessera that holds hands with the next, creating something beautiful.
A mosaic.”
